13. James DOYLE

he was known as "Captain" because he owned and operated several sailing ships (schooners) and spent his life hauling freight, first from Ireland to Canada, then later up and down the Great Lakes. He was the first of the Doyle ancestors to leave Ireland and, after living in Prince Edward Island, Canada for several years, he settled in Milwaukee, WI in 1842
